Cassidy - Still Life

This is my favorite picture from all the still life photos I took.  I really liked the subtle blur of the background in contrast to the focused red orb off to the side.  The warm tones within the picture really give it a nice and homey yet antique feeling.  I also liked how using the rule of thirds draws your eye towards certain objects.  The photo was simple yet nicely photographed.

Serena Speckman-Still life

I like this still-life picture the best because of the color scheme. I like how they all go together and blend, as well with the background too. All the vases are different heights to show the differences. I took the photo with the flash to make the colors more vibrant and pop more.

Meredith-Still Life

This is my favorite image from the still life project. The color theme of red, white, and blue pops well against the soft yellow and brown background. I like how the gambling theme flows with the different game pieces and dollar bills, but manages to also incorporate a casual theme of a good time with the chips and beer, which also follow the color theme.

josh -still life

this is my favorite image because I use the rule of thirds so i could purposely not center the photo . the bananas color compliment the background by having a bright color go against a dark color . the color really contradict each other

Dylan_Still Life

This is my favorite picture i am using because, my sunglasses show the reflection of my catchers mask. The angle i used for this was for the reflection and so the viewer can only see the end of the webbing and the fingers along with the long laces of my fielding gloves. I took this on Monday when it was foggy when there wasn't a ton of lighting so there was no glare off the glasses or metal face piece.

Abby-Still Life

This one is my favorite because I love the whole boating theme. The blues and whites provide great contrast. There was a lot of lighting in the room so I used a small aperture.

Alison-still life

This is my favorite picture because of the different colors that look good against each other. They overlap each other and have many different layers. I think it falls under all 7 elements of art categories.

Still life

This still life has the rule of third, where the cement cube is not really centered. The light and the dark of the snow and the leaves have an interesting contrast to each other. You can also can feel the texture of the block just by looking at it.

Justin - Still Life

I like this image because it required outside of the box thinking with the objects portrayed in the image.  Most people use a bowl or a dish of some sort when using fruits and vegetables in their still lifes.  Instead, I decided to cut one of my vegetables in half and used each half as the dish in the photo.  Also, I like the vibrant colors in the photo and how the photo has different areas that grab your attention.

Ashan - Still Life

This still life is just a simple picture of my daily outfit. You got the hoodie, the bomber jacket, jeans, shirt and shoes to show the outfit of the day. I also liked the dark with white lights to really show the focus of the picture.

Brittany- Still life

I like this because it mostly because it shows my snowboard which I love to use during the winter. It a was taken from a lower point of view. Using the rule of thirds I made it so the goggles were higher up.

Faith- Still Life

This is my favorite picture because there is many different levels which makes it look cool. I took this because I play softball and had many things to add to the picture. I used aperture to adjust the lighting to make it brighter because I took them in a dark room.

Jessell -Still life

I took this image on the top of a small dresser. I liked this one because you can see the shadows and highlights of both instruments, and I like the way it focused on the rounded edges of both instruments.

Zechariah- Still Life

This picture of still life is my favorite because I like the way I placed the objects. I used my lamp as the lighting. I tried placing them in a non boring way. I tried to make the picture interesting.

Brittany-Elements of art

This is my favorite picture because it has complimentary colors. The blue and the purple go together. It also shows many different areas of space. The space between the locker and lock. The space between the zip tie and lock. It just shows space in many different ways.

This is a picture full of different lines! There are red vertical lines in the railings on the side and back of the picture. There are also horizontal lines in the stairs the girl is sitting on. Another set of lines that I saw was the diagonal lines in the girls dress. The last set of lines that I saw was the pattern of lines in her black shoes.

Daineshia-Elements of Art

I took this picture at the North Market in downtown Columbus. I chose this picture for texture because you can see the paint chipping off the wall and like it looks really dirty, etc.

Tatyanna - Elements of Art

I chose this picture to represent texture. I preferred this picture of texture because of the beautiful colors and the texture of water and/or water droplets. It looks magical.

Khalil-Elements of Art

I took this picture at last year’s red white and boom. I chose this image for color because the fireworks have different values of red and different colors such as green to make the red look more bright.

Zechariah - Elements of Art

The picture I chose was the value image. I chose this one because I like how it shows light and darkness on the apple. I also like this image because the apple has a shadow. I took this image using my phone flashlight. The apple was good. :)

Dylan - Elements of Art

This picture was taken for the rain droplets hanging from the bottom of the horizontal cross and the great light's and dark's. I took the photo straight on with the flash and there was a flood light to the left of the picture that was meant to shine on the church, but i used it as a light source as well. The cross was only about 6 or 7 inches tall.

Sam - Elements of art

This is the picture I chose for line. I choose this for line because it shows line, in the side walk, that go in many directions. It appears to on for ever but it doesn't. I don,t even remember taking this picture but I'm glad i did.

Alison-elements of art

This is my favorite image because you can really see the golf balls stand out and overlap each other. I picked this image for form but it can also follow under texture. You can fell how hard and round it is by seeing/touching one before. It also has lines on it and value with the darkness/lightness of the colors.

elements of art : seppy

I took this picture of a this fake plant because I really liked the orange and green together and all the different ways the leaves feathered out which gave more dynamics to the photo.
I also really love the shadow and the darkness

Cassidy - Elements of Art

This image was my favorite and represented the color aspect of the seven elements of art.  This image was taken by accident and I loved the way it turned out.  The color is vibrant, contrasting, and clearly standing out from the black background.  The cubes are in focus and the color draws the viewer into the image.  I don't remember how I took this picture, as it was taken by accident, but the result makes this image my favorite.

Meredith -Elements of Art

This is the image I used for value. This image was originally taken in color, but I put it in black and white in Photoshop to help highlight the different lights and dark's in the cat's face, and the faded background. It is my favorite image because it makes me feel emotion and creates a very mysterious tone. It also uses the rule of thirds, bringing the viewers eyes to the side of the image instead of the dead center. I used a flash when I took this photo, which I believe helped make the eyes of the cat really pop.

Montel Elements of art

i loved this picture the most because it has my cousin in it and it shows her crazy personality plus i just love the colors on it and everything about it. the picture came out a lot better than i originally thought it was

josh- Elements of Art

I chose this photo because it represents color in a colorful way . This photo shows a different perspective of fire burning at a fireplace .

Jessell -Elements Of Art

I took this picture at Easton and used it for my color element. I liked this picture because even though it is kind of dark out in the picture, you can still see several different colors that stand out.

Serena Speckman- Elements of Art

I chose to take a picture of these pine cones to represent texture. I used the macro mode on my camera so I was able to take a clear and close up photo. You can see the rough and almost woody texture of the pine cones.

Ashan- Elements of Art

I enjoy this photo because it shows the red color really well. The dark and light shades really pop out the red and gives the picture a unique image of the canvas.

Faith- Elements of Art

This is my favorite picture from this project because there is so many things going on in the picture and every time you look at it you see something different. I also love it because it really makes you feel like you're standing right where I took the picture.

Justin - Elements of Art

I appreciate this photo because of the vibrant colors that make the center object pop out to the human eye.  Also, I like the photo because the background is very dark making the object in focus pop out even more.
